What is thermal spraying?

Thermal spray technology is the heating of “raw materials” either electrically or chemically. Thermal spraying technology is a method of using a heat source to heat the sprayed material to a molten or semi-molten state, and then spraying and depositing it at a certain speed onto the surface of the pre-treated substrate to form a coating layer.

Creating a special working surface on the surface of a common material to achieve: corrosion protection, abrasion resistance, wear resistance, high temperature resistance, oxidation resistance, thermal insulation, insulation, electrical conductivity, microwave radiation protection, etc..

Applications include: long-lasting corrosion protection, mechanical repair and advanced manufacturing techniques, mold making and repair, and manufacturing of special functional coatings.

Various types of thermal spray processing are widely used for surface hardening of workpieces. Our super-hard tools are suitable for polishing the inside and outside of workpieces and for coating complex surfaces before grinding.
